What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday aka WOYWW #77

I found this church music box at a Garage Sale for FREE! yep Free. lol But I really did not know what I was going to do with it at first. But we have been snowed in for the last 3 days so I took it out and started painting it.

Here it is after I painted it all white about 3 coats.

Here it is all done, I used a lot of Silver Glitter on the roof . I think it looks great.

After I painted the windows and the bottom of it, I put some walnut colored stain on it to give it an aged look. I also sanded it a little before I stained it.
Some pictures of the snow in my yard, we got more snow then this, but the problem was that it was so cold for the next two nights that the roads were just all ice and with no Studded tires on my car yet,  I have been stuck at home for a few days and hope to get the studs on today.

For all you that came by last week and saw the big mess on my desk..... hmmm Its still there .. Just out of site of this picture. If you are just stopping by and want to join in on the fun with Julia's blog.. WOYWW.. go now.. don't say No.. Say yes yes!

This week I am #47
Thanks all my WOYWW'er Friends

Update Update... I did make it out today.. and guess what.. I got stuck trying to make it up a hill.. kind of did a half donut turning around.... OMG but that made my car point down the hill and that is right where I wanted to be.. so on my home I went.. then on another hill there was a guy stuck right in the middle of it and I could not get around him.. so there I was stuck on the hill with my 8 year old son in tow. We sat there for about an hour and a guy with a really big truck stopped and towed me up the hill.. I started writing him a check to give to him and he said "no he did not want it.." I begged him to take it he said "no.. just next time I see someone in need .. to help them out.!" What a nice guy.. :)

  11. The church looks great! I don't mind snow if you don't have to go OUT anywhere, but it's a pain otherwise!

  13. The church is a wonderful find and it will look great for Christmas with a few decorations, pine cones, branches etc., around it. We are threatened with snow for next weekend and I'm praying it won't stop me flying to see my family in Germany.
It's no hardship for a crafter to be kept at home so leave those snow chains off a while!

  14. Looks like we may be seeing a little snow in the UK soon too!
I clean my stamps with baby wipes too, with the addition of Stazon stamp cleaner for some... but I don't like to do them one at a time.... I have a little session and do several at a time.

  15. That's a lovely sparkly frosty church - and a very lucky find. Hope you get to go out before cabin fever sets in. Although it looks as though you've had plenty to do.

  18. Hi Shirley,

Great job of the church. Wow, I can't imagine being snowed in. We don't have any snow where I live. (Only in the mountains) We have had some very hot days here. Have had all the curtains drawn for the last few days to keep out the heat!!
It's wonderful how you have transformed the church and made it into a wonderful decoration.

    Have a great day!
