Owl Queen Cards and Weekend with Deanna!!

One Busy Weekend!!

First I went to a Joan Rivers show on Friday night and did not get back until around midnight. She is so funny my Husband and I had a really good time. Then I got up at the crack of dawn to do a class in Seattle area for 16 people!!! Yikes I know. I had to catch the ferry over, then I met up with Deanna and we went to Hobby Lobby and got a few things with our coupons. Then off to the Butterfly class that took 5 hours! Then back to Hobby Lobby to use more coupons!! lol

Deanna and I spent most of Sunday just being lazy until after dinner. We started making some cards with the new stuff we bought at Hobby Lobby.

This is the paper I used for these fun owl cards. Deanna is on her 2nd pack of this paper, when she picked it up she said "Come here my Precious" lol It's "The Paper Studio" paper.

I just cut the little bag out of the paper.

Deanna found this ribbon at JoAnn's, but I found some even better stuff yesterday at Micheal's for 1.99 (on sale this week only) and it was 10 yards. Its a perfect Mellon mambo color same as SU but so much cheaper!!!

You can just see how cute this paper is on this card!

Deanna and I needed some wine after a long day, so we were really laughing hard when I gave the owl a bottle of wine to drink.

This is a fun card, with the black glitter rhinestones and the mini tags made with the Martha Stewart punch.

This is Tricia, she is having a blast making the cards at the Butterfly Stamp Class, this is the second time I have done this class. Deanna and I had a good time hanging with her and friend Jayme Stinehart (she is the one that took the photo). Thanks girls for coming! Can't wait to hang out again!

These are the stamps I found. The "owl" and the "friendship" stamps are from Hobby Lobby and the "Stamp on" and "Priceless" stamps are from the JoAnn's both are in  Lynnwood WA.

The "Nana's Kitchen" paper I found at Hobby Lobby for only 11.99 on clearance. Its DCWV paper.

The "Playtime Past" Graphic 45 paper was also on clearance for only 11.99. I can't wait to make some cards with this stuff. Here is a link to some cards I did with some Graphic 45 School themed paper.

I told a few people that I would show you how I took my photos of my cards. I just use one of the cubes or cubbies that hold a lot of my crafting stuff and put a light above, and it works perfect!

I sit right where my cat Vickie is sitting to take the photos. I got these cubes at Home Depot they are Martha Stewart, I think they were around 35.00 each. They have 9 cubes in each set. I have 2 sets in my Stamp Room.

Hello! Liberty Calling Card with Paper from Graphic 45

A few weeks ago it was my Birthday. I spent that weekend with my friend Deanna in Seattle. We went to Hobby Lobby and she bought me this paper for my Birthday plus some more things I have not used yet.

"Hello this is Liberty speaking"
The paper pack is called "Communique". It has a lot of phone, camera and old news paper images. Very vintage looking! It also comes with a page of tags. The ribbon is Riding hood red pleated and the button is from the Candy cane set.

I used two images of Miss Liberty and cut one out and used dimensionals on it. I used the 3/4 inch circle punch to punch out the ten cent image and hot glued it onto the button.

This card is from the paper "A Proper Gentleman Collection". I still could add a sentiment later when I know who I am giving the card to.

I did the same thing here with the 3/4 inch circle punch. Their are some images of clocks on the paper. I think it looks like a pocket watch. (what do you think?) Perfect for a "Man" card.

Another car image and more pocket watches that I cut out. I also used some black pom pom trim on the bottom of the card. The ribbon is black and white gingham.

I believe that the pocket watch paper is part of the "Proper Gentleman Collection".

Here are the papers. The paper pack comes with 11 sheets of double sided paper and one page of tags. I have already cut a row of the cars off on the Gentleman paper. The Gentleman paper is not in that "Communique" paper pack.

Graphic 45 Card with ABC Primer Paper, And Button Challenge over at Paper Players #87

I love Buttons, I really have to control myself when it comes to using them on my cards. So this was the challenge for me, fun and easy. My friend Deanna showed me this paper and some cards that she had made and I just had to make some too. I had so much fun with it, using my framelits, embossing folders and punches and only one stamp to make these 2 cards!!

I think this card is perfect for a Teacher gift. I am going to make a bunch of them and give them to my Son's 4th grade Teacher. The paper is Graph 45 and I used several different papers from the "An ABC Primer Collection"

If you like to use buttons or just want to join a fun Challenge, just jump over to The Paper Players. The Design Teams Cards are fabulous fun this week!!

This is a very small amount of my Button Collection. Just the jars that are in my dinning room.

I added just enough glitter so that it had that fun vintage look.

Here is my Button, I used the Deck the Halls buttons. Then I took my 3/4 inch circle punch and punched out my image. I punched out some circles in black and added them to the back of the image to make it more stiff. I used Hot Glue so that it will stay on my card forever.

This card was also a ton of fun to make. I just love that ABC paper down the side, that is what I used for the small images on the buttons.

Used the Dazzling Diamonds glitter here on her outfit.

I used a metal tag behind this image. So cute I love it!

I have had this cute stamp set for a really long time. It's called "It's Academic".
