Greeting Card Kids Valentine Card

I love cards with a Heart... and here is one. I wanted to use my favorite stamp set of 2010 "Greeting Card Kids". I also used the new stamp set "You're a Gem", from the new mini starting in just a few days. I am really excited about this new mini, and even more excited about starting a new Holiday Season with Valentines, St Paddy's Day, and Easter.

I just love using the aqua painter with the watercolor crayons. Look at that cute face, I just love how her cheeks turned out. I even made her knees a little pink.
I also used Mary Jo's Sketch Challenge. She has some great Sketch ideas, so get over and check it out!!

Home Made Color Chart.

I made this mini hand held color chart last night for my down line that is new to Stampin up. I just cut each color apart and used a medal ring to keep it together. I also jazzed it up a little with some ribbon and a button.

This is what the Color Chart looked like before I cut it up.
All you have to do is punch out each color with a 1 inch square punch and then use your markers and ink pads to mark and stamp each color section. I did make this one at the Portland Regionals in September. But if you want to make one all you have to do is go to Stampin Up Printing Place and the charts are there to print. If you can't find them and want the charts just leave me a comment with your email and I will email them to you.

That ring is holding all the Colors of Stampin Up.

Got Treats Card

My Friend Deanna made this card a month or so ago. I am not really sure how much was her idea or mine, lol Because when we are together we just cute stuff our together and make cards. Or I should say, she says "hey Shirley cut this out" "take this over to the big shot and emboss it for me". lol.  Terry Su loved the card so much she used the idea in one of her Christmas Card stamp~a~stacks. click the link to see her card too.

I just love this little gingerbread boy. We had to add some rhinestone bling for his buttons. I do remember stamping one of the cards "eat Chocolate" but I could not find that one for the picture. I thought that it was funny that a gingerbread card said to eat chocolate. I don't think Deanna thought it was as funny as I did.

Shopping for Stamps with my Son Calvin

We have a local Stamp Store Called Rubber Soul its in the downtown Poulsbo Washington, they had been there for 17 years. It's going out of Business this week and last day is the is the 30th of December. My Son and I went out today to find some bargains 50% off everything there. My Son found the Ferry stamp and the Para-trooper he is very excited about it and can't wait to use them. I found the cute cupcake and the word stamps and pink pearls and rhinestones. I spent 35.00 on everything here in the picture, Not bad for a girl with stamp addictions problems. lol

I found the cute ribbon, if you call that ribbon it looks more like pom poms red and white. Also found more of that flower soft that I had talked about in my Santa Tag post.
This is the view I woke up to today.. it was so beautiful, But still super cold!
This is my Cat Vickie, when I was taking pictures for this post she was right next to me in the other chair. so cute!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Post 100 for the Year!
We had a good Christmas. This is a picture of the Mini Tree that I have in my Living room. I also have a big one in my Dining room, my Husband decorated that one.

The tree that I decorated with blue, hot pink, and purple.

This is a hutch that I have in the entryway, cute with all the Christmas Stuff on it.

That picture in the center is me on a pony when I was about 7 or 8.

The Tile with the Christmas Bulb on it, I made it last year. Its just a SU rub-on... Super cute!
My Daughter Sabrina.. Saying "Wow Mom thanks for the Shampoo" and her Boyfriend Daniel in the background.
My Husband holding his gift. A new Door knob for the front door. lol
You can see the tree topper better in this pic, got it at Pier One.
The boys.. saying "Hurry take the pic"

That is the tree my husband decorated in the background. He spent a couple of hours working on it. Then a few days later I told the kids and some of there friends to check out the two trees and pick the best one. They all picked mine of course it has more then 10 ornaments on it. lol... Then I informed my Husband that the winner gets $100.00.. OMG you should have seen his face and he said "I would have worked harder on it if I would have known that"

A pair of earrings my Husband got me.
I could just do a post on what I got for Christmas! Maybe I will.

Thank you my fellow bloggers
Love You!

Jolly Old Saint Nick Candy Jars

I made this jar for my friend Amber. It is twice the size as the other ones that I did last week in another post on my blog click here to see. I used the red candy this time. Plus I got to make the tag bigger because of the Jar size.

I also used the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, I like it the best, the other colors are kinda dark I think.
Plus this is the first time I have used the Silver waffle paper, its fun stuff. I just put a bunch on and then cut around to make it the size I wanted.
I used some new stuff that I just got at a Stamp Store the other day its called "Flower Soft" on Santa's hat. Its cool stuff when you touch it, it feels like a sponge.

Owl Punch Gift Card Holders

I made these for the office girls at my son's Jr High School. They loved them. I used the large oval punch to punch the front of the box. Then used the clear window sheets with snowflakes on them. Inside the box you can see the really cute gift card from Starbucks, that is why I used the window sheet so you can see the cute gift card. I only got the girls $5.00 gift cards, but what was so great about them was that if you register them online you get a free coffee for your Birthday so it was like giving a $10.00 card.

I just love the Owl in the Santa suit, it is punched out from the Stamp Set "Tags til Christmas" and the saying is from the same set. When the girls at the office saw what it said they laughed and said "you know us to well" lol The Santa hat is from "Jolly Bingo Bits". The big~shot die is Box #2. I also used the black Jewels for the eyes.

Nature Walk Card

Wow is it Friday already... Gee's I am all mixed up on my days. I think it is because of trying to get all my Christmas stuff done and not getting it done and trying to add a day to this week. lol. It is a type of card I have never done, so its a good challenge for me also. I wanted to use something new I got that is going to be in the new Occasions Mini that starts on January 4th. I think this is one of my favorite Mini's ever! I love all the new bird, crown, key and vintage stuff.  "Stampin up What are you trying to do to me"!!! lol
The butterflies that you see in the circles are not stamped but punched out from the new DSP (Designer Series Paper) Botanical Gazette. On page 7 of the new mini.

Terry Su also used this sketch to make a card, Click Here to see it.

I used the cutter tool kit to give it that rough edge look. I also put So saffron on a sponge and rubbed most of the image area, then I used a sponge dauber with Early espresso and just did the edges. I did the same on the bumble bee.
Close up so you can see the So saffron and Early espresso on the bumble bee. I also tried to bend the wings up a little.

Stamp sets:
Nature Walk 7 pc set Occasions Mini
Ink and Paper Colors:
Early Espresso, So Saffron, Vanilla
Accessories:
1/8 Early Espresso, Sweet Stitches Buttons,
Sponge dauber, Cutter tool kit
Designer Series Paper:
Botanical Gazette pg 26 Occasions Mini

Jolly Old Saint Nick Candy Jars

I made these jars for Teacher gifts. I bought the jars at World Market, one for 3.99 and the tree one for 3.79. I really wanted more of the tree one, but that was the last one in the store. They had bigger ones for 4.99 but it would take up to 3 or more time worth of candy to fill. I bought the candy at Central Market for 2.29 a pound, and used about 1.75 a jar worth of candy per jar.

I sold it for $12.00, was that a good price or do you think that was to cheap.? Don't forget it was like a music box, and played a Christmas song.

If you want to see more Desks and what People in the blog world are working on take a look at Julia's blog, there is lots to see. Sometimes more the 150 different desks! WOW
