Vintage Baby Shoes with Girly Tag... Great for a Baby Shower Gift

Hi Blogging Friends!!!

I found a bunch of old baby shoes at an estate sale a few weeks ago and wanted to make something with them. I thought... how cute it would be to add something Vintage to a babies room. I love baby shoes and have a bunch of them around my house as decorations. I also have kept a few of my kids baby shoes and have them on display in cabinets. It is just fun to have little 3D memories of your kids.

I used the retired rose ribbon from Stampin' Up for the laces. Then made the tag with a rosette behind it. I think this would make a great gift at a baby shower!!! What do you think?

I also added some pink flowers that I had (a Birthday gift from Deanna) with the NEW Crystal buttons from Stampin' Up. The ink is rose red and that is the pom pom trim from the SU Summer Mini 2011.

I used a safety pin to put it all together at the top of the shoe.

No.... I am not having a baby and No... My Daughter is not having a baby.  lol I just made it for fun and to sell at my Booth at Viking Village or maybe Etsy.

Stampin' Up Convention 2012 Meeting Shelli Gardner and Telling her my Owl Story.

Hi Blogging Friends!!!

More fun at Convention NEWS!!!

I met a bunch of fun girls from New York and while they where in my room looking at all my Owls, they helped me choose what owl to give to Shelli Gardner, CEO and Co-founder of Stampin' Up. I named the Owl "Michelle". She is named after a few different girls that I met named Michelle, so sweet and so nice.... Just like every girl in SU should be!!

Wow!!!  was so excited about seeing Shelli and giving her a gift. I told her my story about designing the SU fabric Owl after the owl punch and adopting them out my blog to pay my way to Convention 2012. She just loved my story and was so happy for my success.

Here is where handed it to her. Awww, Michelle is so darn Cute!!!

Shelli holding little Owl Michelle while I was telling her my story.

Just in case you did not see my other post about all 45 of the Owls having a Party in my room... here is the funny picture. If you are looking for "Michelle" in this photo... "Alice" is standing on her head. (the right center of the photo)

I had the best time at Convention this year and I really have all of you who bought my owls to THANK! It paid 100% of my trip. I got so many encouraging emails and girls just wishing me luck. I met a bunch of them at Convention and I know that when I go next year I will meet even more of you. With next year being 25th Stampin' Up Anniversary!!!

Life Shared Card with SU's Storytime Designer Paper

Hi Blogging Friends!!

This is just a quick post about a few cards that I made with SU's new "Life Shared stamp. Deanna was over and we always make a few "make and takes" for each other 6 each of 6 cards. That way we know that now matter how much we are talking or watching "Hoarders" marathon we will have at least 18 cards when we are done.

We don't want to spend a lot of time coloring things in so my solution was to just use a punched out part of the paper to high light the image.

Every card had a different image.... Deanna picked all the cute girl images!! Darn that girl!

Deanna and I always have the best time hanging out, but it is always better when you have someone who shares your passion with stamping.

Halloween Googly Ghouls Card for Retro Sketches #19

OK... I had to make a Halloween Card!!

Just got this cute set in the mail yesterday. It comes in a set of 6 stamps: Mummy, Witch, Bat, Spider, Frankenstiein, and the word Boooo. If any of you have seen my cards or been to any of my classes you know I just love using googly eyes!!! I use them on animal cards and most of all Halloween.... so I think Stampin' Up was reading my mind when they came up with this stamp set.

I put three bats instead of buttons from the sketch. I used the new SU color "Summer Starfruit" for Franky's face.

I love retro sketches and knew this sketch was for me and some Halloween fun. Click Here to check out there Challenge Blog!

Here is a close up of the Batties!!! lol I am having to get stronger and stronger glasses, so when I do my pictures and get to see my work up close... I am thinking "not too bad of a job cutting out bats for a blind person" lol

This picture just makes me laugh... lol Look at his eyes just bulging OUT! Love the Googly eyes!
