Memorial Day and 4th of July Tree

I just love this little tree.

It is so much fun to decorate it for Season's and  Holidays.  So here it is for Memorial Day and 4th of July.

 These are some really cool stars that Deanna and I found at JoAnns.

 I bought a bunch of those mini flags on the Military base. They are really cheep there. I even put some of them in my yard.

I think I can blame my Husband for this Crazy tradition that we have started. I liked leaving my Christmas tree up until January and one year it was still up in February so I put a bunch of Valentine things on it. Then another year it was up until Easter so I did Easter decorations too. I think that was the year I told him "just leave it up" and I will keep decorating it for everything. lol

Monkey Challenge "Manly Man Card"

We all need "Manly Man" cards.... but boy oh boy it is hard to control myself when it comes to the bling. I was thinking hmmm maybe just some rhinestones on the head lights?? I had to stop myself, and what I made could really be called a "Man Card".   

I do love this old stamp set "Classic Pickups".

Over at A La Card Monkey we have been  having the best time. This weeks sketch is going to be fun and easy... if you don't try to add a lot of the "Girly Stuff". I have to say all the Guest Designers have been so sweet. Some of them helping me out while Terry was on her Cruise to Alaska. Leaving really nice comments! Thank you Girls!!

I was having the worst problems with Blogger and Google this week. I was logged in but, then try to leave a comment and it would not work no matter what I did, I was able to leave comments on blogs that allowed Anonymous comments the rest I would send a personal message via email. I hope everyone got my messages.

This is me trying to work my blog... Pulling my hair out every time I have to re-log in. Yep it looks just like that! (my hair) lol Spending the last couple of days trying to leave comments on cards for A La Card Monkey and spending hours on it. I think this little monkey could have done a better job!

Wedding Invites for a Friend

A friend of mine for over 25 years Trina, meet a really nice guy a few months ago. She called me a week ago and said she is getting Married on July 2nd, and wants me to make the invites. Trina told me that her colors are pink and light yellow. I had a few ideas right away but I saw this card in the Catalog, I added a few more layers and more bling. I love this embossing folder it makes the card look so elegant.

I made two different versions of the card, this one with the main card White and the ribbon So saffron.

This one So saffron for the main part of the card and  Pretty in pink ribbon.

"They say it's your Birthday" Monkey Challenge 57

It's a Monkey Challenge time and we have a  Birthday Card with a Sketch. I thought that I would do a "Man Card". Sometimes doing them just gives me a Pain! But with all the new stamp sets in this Summer Mini how could you not.

I am just loving all this Nautical stuff.

Make a Birthday card with this sketch and then jump over to "A La Card Monkey" and post it there for a chance to be our "Monkey Princess".

 I wanted my Birthday banner to look like a flag, so I used a 5/8th square punch to do the ends like that.

There are just so many cute stamps in this set!! The anchor is really perfect.

Pirate Time for A La Card Monkey

I love this old stamp set, I have not used it in a while. I don't seem to make very many kids cards but, with this challenge I got to make a cute boys card.

Life's a bed of roses for Monkey Challenge #55

Life might be a bed of roses but, in my case it looks like Lavender. I used the stamp set "Nature Walk" for my card this week, for the A La Card Monkey Challenge. I kind of followed the sketch this week, I just really wanted to put some jewels on this card for some reason.

 You're a gem!! This is a card that I could send any friend of mine because, they are all gems to me!

 This sketch is from a card I made a few years ago. I had made it for a card contest and I won!! So this sketch has some good memories for me.

 The gems are from the Prettys kit.

On this card I colored the Lavender with a marker "Orchid Opulence", I asked my Husband if he thought the flowers need some color and he said "yes", so I did it just for him. What do you think, does it need it or not?

Here Kitty Kitty... Plus Blog Candy

I said I would make another card for this Challenge, I just really love this layout. I was inspired by Leena that is a Guest Designer over at A La Card Monkey this week. This little cat stamp is in the new Mini Catalog, is she cute or what! I put a rhinestone on her collar. I really used a lot of punches and the big shot on this one.

 I just had to give the kitten some rosie cheeks!! I think they look Great!
