Rue Des Fleurs aka Street of Flowers Card for The Paper Players Sketch

Hi Everyone!!

It has been two Beautiful days here so far, and I have been working in my yard pulling grass out of my flower beds. My yard needs so much work because I end up making a cards instead (so trying to work is more like it).
I just had to get out my Attic Boutique Side Notes today. I have always loved them but, never think of a good idea to use them. One of my Blogging friends Elizabeth Price makes the most Beautiful Vintage looking cards with them so I was inspired by her to start using mine.

I used two pieces of the side notes, one is the ticket and the other is the blue ribbon shape under the button.

Over at Paper Players Nance is our Hostess and we are doing a really cool sketch. I love sketches that have a spot for "any shape" then you get to add lots of cute little goodies.

I used the Jewelry tag punch for the sentiment.

I made the shape smaller then the umbrella so that it went off the edges. I stamped it in the three colors and just cut out the two tops of the umbrella .

GORGEOUS! I sort of overlooked this image in the mini---well, not really, but I have so many vintage sets, I figured I didn't need it. But wow, is it pretty the way you've popped it up - lots of fun embellishments, too!

Such a vintage beauty, Shirley! I love the way you divided the umbrella and popped it up. Love the suede stamping under the two layers--such a great effect! You really rocked my sketch this week! So good to have you with us this month!

Oh my goodness, Shirley! You sure do know how to embellish a card. And, you really do make it look easy...although I have tried and for me, it's not! :) Love all of the little touches you have added to make it this card a WOW one to receive! Have a great weekend!
