Hi Blog Hop Friends!!
I am so happy that we got this Valentine Blog Hop started!! Terry Su made my blog hop badge and I love it.
Terry and I were shopping at Goodwill and wanted to find things to make into a cake plate or something. We found out that... wow! everything costs so much there. So we went to Walmart and picked up these Burner Covers for $5.00 and the candle sticks for $2.00 and $3.00. Plus we got the spray paint there too, I think it was $3.00 a can? maybe. lol
Here is the candle stick after two coats of paint. I have it on a lazy Susan so I can spin it while I paint it.
Here it is!! I made a Happy Valentine Banner for it.
This is a list of what I used to make it.
Pink and Ross Spray Paint
Burner Cover one small and one large
Bigz L Die Tasteful trim Die
Sizzlitts Billboard Alphabet Strip Die
Blushing Bride pleated satin ribbon
Pennant Builder Punch
Regal Rose and Pretty in pink 1/8 inch ribbon
Red Glitter paper
Mini Heart Punch
Hot Glue
Anyone can join the fun, here is all you have to do.
1. Anything goes, Card, 3D project it just has to be Valentines.
2. Add the Hop to your Post, by using the code from Linky tools.
3. Add badge to post with a link to my blog.
4. Has to be a new post.
If you can't make it this week that is ok. I will be doing the Hop every Tuesday. Here are the dates January 17th (today) 24th and 31st and February 7th. I will pick a weeky winner on Mondays, then the big 4 week Winner on Tuesday February 14th Valentines Day!!
I used the pink paper in the Twitterpated pack and Rose Red paper for the Banner. I punched out some hearts in the red glitter paper.
I used the Sizzlits Billboard Strip die for the letters on the Banner also in the Red Glitter paper.
We are having a Snow day today! I went to take my Son Calvin to School but, we just stopped at Albertsons and pick up some cupcakes and came home. lol The roads were bad and I just did not want him to ride the bus home in that mess.
Did you see the Sunset photo for last Friday on my blog. I just wanted to show you the Sunset from Saturday. It was a real stormy looking Sunset.
Thanks for looking

That little pennant looks terrific! Did actually make cupcakes just to model the new cupcake holder? lol
I think the cans of spray paint were $3.50 each. I love the Blushing Bride pleated satin ribbon on the stove burner covers. Super cute!
Princess Shirley what a genius you are. This tiered cupcake display looks fantastic! Love the little banners and the yummy cupcakes. Awesome. And thanks for starting this blog hop. Looking forward to the fun.
Cheers and Happy Stamping!
Love the cupcake holder - the cupcakes are making me hungry! Hope you're enjoying the snow.
That is so pretty, great tutorial and price :)
Oh Shirley, so cute! I will participate after I get back from leadership. Should I bring Maggie with me? She sits at my desk. I have still not unpacked from the flood and can't wait to get my craft room set back up. Today the ceiling above it leaked from the floor guys taking the toilet out, so here we go again. I am not going to pack up again, they can work around my stuff!
You realize you are making me go to Wal Mart now right?? LOVE IT! I will be playing along soon - have a art therapy class with the Brain Injury Association tomorrow so been prepping my little heart out! Hope the weather cooperates with us!
