What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday #80

I am working on some Chip board Albums. They are Christmas Tree shaped. I do have one finished and I was working on 2 more that will have the same paper and then I have 3 others I might get started with different paper. I kind of work in a mess, lol as you can see.

Yea.. like I said its a mess!
Yikes lots of paper in piles here.. lol and other stuff.. wow
It looks so cute!
I can't wait to get my Pictures inside the album!! Cute kids at Christmas.
Stamp sets are "Jolly Old Saint Nick" and "Bright Christmas" both Holiday Mini 2010
The Ornament is from the stamp set "Contempo Christmas" Catalog 2010-2011
Love the Owl Punch!! Do you have one yet!?
Santa is from the stamp set "Jolly old Saint Nick" Holiday Mini 2010.
The Little bird stamp is from "Jolly Bingo Bits" in the Holiday Mini 2010
Candy Cane Buttons are great.. love them gotta get more! Also in the Holiday Mini.
"Loving You" stamp from the stamp set "Seasonal Sentiments in the Holiday Mini 2010
I used the Ornament Punch here, and I am going to put photos inside the ornaments, it will be real cute.
I have Champagne glass glitter around the tree here, looks real good and leaves room for a photo.
Stamp set "Bright Christmas in the Holiday Mini 2010. I am going to put a photo in the Scallop circle.
This is a picture of the church that I had started a few WOYWW's ago, and here is a picture of the finished product. I did sell it already at the Variety Mall I have a booth at. I sold it for $12.00, was that a good price or do you think that was to cheap.? Don't forget it was like a music box, and played a Christmas song.

If you want to see more Desks and what People in the blog world are working on take a look at Julia's blog, there is lots to see. Sometimes more the 150 different desks! WOW

Thanks for looking

Isn't it great to be at the top of the heap? I'm happy that you made number 2 this week.

I am in LOVE with those trees. I want to make one of those, but I probably wouldn't put photos in it. They are calling my name. Can you hear it?

I think you sold your church way too cheap, BUT you know your market and what people in your area are willing to pay. I would have charged at least $25.00 for it, and I'm the person who can't seem to price my books high enough. Remember, you have to pay yourself, so give yourself permission to do so.

Hi Shirley,

What a fabulous messy desk! Love your Xmas tree mini albums. They are so darn cute.

Boy, I'm the worst at pricing handmade items. My hubbie say's I could never charge enough for my creations..not because they are so good but because they all take so darn long to create...lol

Thanks for the peek and sharing, hugs, Marjo #25

Oh, the album is so pretty and I love the owl punch. Money. Ick. I so dislike talking price, but seems to me that you set it high and act confident. Helps to check out Etsy for a gauge.

Hi Shirley - love your album. and Elizabeth is right - your prices need to reflect the value of your goods, not what you think people might pay.

I find it hard to sell and easier to give away partly because, for my paintings, I do charge a reasonable price and most people associate handmade and market = bargain and think ooh that's alot to pay...

check out prices on Etsy/folksy and you will get an idea what other artist charge for similar pieces.

Love the little Xmas tree books and great photos of them as well. I think the person who bought your Church was very lucky to get such a lovely handmade work of art at that price. Thanks for sharing and letting me have a peek.

Ooooh you sold that for HOW MUCH?! Yes, much too cheap! That could have gone for $40+ EASILY. At least I know it would have where I live.

And I love your chipboard tree books. Nice work there.

I'm #85 on WOYWW this week. Stop by when you get a chance!

Happy Holidays to you.

Your tree mini album is just adorable. And I don't know how you could bear to part with the chapel; much less for so low a price!

Hey, I can relate, my workdesk always seems to end up chaos and mess when I'm working on something too.. yours is definitely a productive mess though, those xmas tree albums are lovely! What a great idea!

Thanks for sharing. :)

Oh wow Shirley, there’s a lot of work gone into those so I’m not in the least bit surprised that there are lots of piles of paper all over your desk.

Your Christmas tree album looks fab and I would say you probably undercharged for the lovely house if it played music too, but then, I am appalling at pricing stuff and end up giving it away so at least you made something out of it! :)

Serendipity Stamping said...

I could just snatch all of your beautiful albums right up. As are as the church price - you would need to add up all the suppllies used, including your time and see if you made any profit on it. It is lovely!! #79

I love your tree album! Especially that little owl! What kind of punch is that? Totally adorable! I love owls (we actually have a Great Horned Owl living close to our house, I hear him/her almost every evening) and a punch would be just great!
- Thanks for stopping by my blog!
