Meow!! Kitten Card for Monkey Challege

Who don't love Kittens and Puppies ... I love them!! I know some of you say, gees Shirley and her animal cards. lol I know I just can't control myself. I am going to make more cards for this challenge. I have some dog and cat stamps burning a hole in my stamp wall. lol

 I love the Play Date Designer series paper, the colors are bright and cheery!

You can use the sketch if you want, and use any animal stamp you have. Now get making a new card for this fun challenge. Terry and I are very excited about this one.

A La Card Monkey

 I really like the 2 ribbons on the same card, I think I might do this more often maybe use 3 colors next time.

This is my Cat Vickie, she was right by my feet while I was making this card. I am not sure where she got that shoe lace but she really wants me to play with her. So now I have to go run around the house with the shoe lace while she chases me. lol

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday #99

Wow.... Julia is on number 99 that is 99 weeks she has been doing WOYWW. I just can't believe it! This is my Desk tonight, I am working on some Monkey thank you cards.

 Starting on my Monkey thank you cards.

 Looking at all my mess, and lots of little drawers for my markers, rhinestones and so much more.

 This is what I wanted to show off, my Husband just made this shelf for all my punches. Is it the best or what, I even have room for when I buy more!! hee hee!

From my seat I can reach all my punches, paper, ribbon, ink and even my big shot with out getting out of my chair. Now that is a set up!! lol

This is my Son Calvin, he had to come show me his first bit out of his Easter Bunny. lol

#36 this week!

Bonsai Tree Card

Just a quick post today. I went to one of Terry's Stamp~a~stacks and I made all the cards but this one at the event. I just had a bag of parts and did not remember how the card was put together. So here is what came out, I added the ribbon and brad. I used a sponge dauber around the edge. The saying is from the stamp set "Calming Garden" 2004.

 The Bonsai tree stamp is from the stamp set "Plant Hope" (current).

This says "Live Life Love", "Happy Birthday", "Thanks", or what ever I want the card to say. I just tell my friends what it says and they believe me. lol

Monkeying Around with some Easter fun!

I have to say that Terry and I are having the best time with this Our New Blog A La Card Monkey. I am not sure how many of you know that Terry and I have lunch together almost every weekday,and most of what we talk about is our blog. We want to make it fun for everyone and always are trying to think of new things.  This week we decided to go with Easter and there is nothing cuter then a bunny, do they make you smile or what, I love them. My Husband thinks different, because when he was a kid he had a Bunny Farm with over 300 bunny's he had to care for everyday. (poor baby)

 I have not had a Chocolate Easter Bunny yet, but it still is not Sunday. I wanted to make the bunny with a bite out of it but, I had to add it back because it kind of made me sad to look at the bunny that way. lol

 I hope this cute little bunny is under my Easter Tree this year!!! lol

Coffee~Tea Monkey Challenge Card

At A La Card Monkey we have a really Yummy Challenge for you this week... Yep Coffee or Tea Cards, you can make a card using the sketch if you want. I used the Coffee theme and the Sketch on my card and it was so fun and easy that way. I am not sure why I went with pink but, I love this DSP from last year.

Terry and I go out to coffee all the time maybe 4 times a week, and my Husband makes me a cup of tea everyday when he gets home from work.  Yep I am a lucky girl!!

 I found the Giant rhinestone at Micheal's, I also have them in pink... and yes Deanna I got you a pack of them too. Jump over to see Terry Su's Coffee card.

 That cup of Coffee in the picture is from a Coffee shop that Terry and I go to just hang out and talk, sometimes we bring my laptop. I took this picture with my phone and emailed it to myself and could not believe how good it came out. Oh BTW its a "Coconut Mocha" with whip.

I used rhinestones instead of brads. One of the saying in this stamp set from 1999 is "Taking a break from the daily grind to see how you've bean!" I just used my Chocolate chip marker to stamp "daily" and "grind" and then punched them out with the jewelry tag punch.

Close up of the big rhinestone, and my scallop border that I stamped a coffee bean into each scallop. I think that is so cute but, my ribbon covers it a lot.

Slowly but Shirley Card

I found this cute Turtle stamp today and decided to make another Humorous Card for the A La Card Monkey Blog.

 I was thinking that it would be funny to say "Slowly but Shirley" Because of my name.

 I love that picture of the Seal... LOL

I used the 1/8 white ribbon to lace up the side of the paper.

I love the smile on the turtles face.

MS Walk and Cards from MS Event

This is my Husband Hal and my son Calvin at the MS walk on Bainbridge Island in Washington State. It was a 3 mile walk and it was a lot of fun. Our Team name is "Stampin Out MS" I think we raised over $900.00 so far. My friends Amber and Melanee both have Ms, they both love to stamp. So that is how the name got started.

This buggy I did the Rock & Roll Technique, stamped it in Pretty in pink and Rocked it in Perfect Plum.

Cute Bird card with paper clip ribbon holder, I got those paper clips at Office Depot and they come in all different colors and shapes... really cool, Just wait until you see the Earrings I made with them.

A La Card Monkey Fun, Silly, Humorous Challenge and Blog Candy

Boy did I need to make a fun and silly card. I had a blast with this card. I was looking at my wall of stamps and trying to think of something funny I could do with a stamp set. Lots of things went through my mind but this is the one that I decided to do. It is so funny having the bear climb up onto the Camper, and down below you can see that he already chewed up a sleeping bag. I was going to add a chewed up boot to, but it did not fit. It really makes me think of summer and that it is almost here!

 Just think of all the scratch marks that bear is going to leave on that camper... lol

Easter Tree and WOYWW #96

It has been a little while sence I have done the WOYWW with Julia and all the Gals. I have really love it. This is my desk after I made a card about 4 days ago and it is still a mess. lol

I don't know if you can see the silly shaped paper clips, but I have been using them on cards... super cute.

 This is my Easter Tree, its right as you come into my house.

On Top is a Hello Kitty that my friend Jenn got me for my Birthday.

 I like the silly cute ornaments the most, so that is why I have Sponge Bob and Rubber Duckies on my tree.

Under the tree I used a feather boa for a tree skirt and that is a Starbucks bunny sitting there.

Working on my Easter Tree today

 OK, I finally got all my St. Paddy's  Day stuff off my tree today. I just got a few ornaments on it plus those cute pink flowers. I have a ton of cute Easter stuff so I might be decorating other parts  of the house too. Sherrybee sent me a message the other day asking "Hey where is the Easter Tree" lol. So Sherry here  I am working hard on it.

 The tree is right by my front door.

Nature Challenge for Our New Challenge Blog! YEAH!

Yep that is right, Terry Su and I have started a New Challenge Blog. Called A La Card Monkey, OMG is that the cutest name ever for a blog.
