Domestic Goddess Tea Party Part 1 The Food!

The Domestic Goddess Tea Party was a big Hit! We had a blast and the food was so good that I thought that I would do a post just about it. Everyone wanted recipes for everything so putting them here on the blog was perfect!

We had lots of tea to choose from. I love Fiesta ware and have 9 teapots in different colors.  Are they cute or what!!

I was blog surfing and found this really yummy looking dip and had to try it. It's Ranch jalapeno dip... and Yep it was a big hit everyone loved it!

Creamy Jalapeno Dip:

16oz Sour Cream
1 packet Ranch did mix
2-3 Large Jalapenos, finely chopped (about 1/2 cup)
2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Juice of one lime
Milk, optional

Mix the 6 ingredients together. Use the milk to thin the dip to whatever you desire.

I used 4 Jalapenos and 1 Serrano pepper in my dip and forgot the Garlic. I made it the night before and it really made a difference in the taste, the jalapenos had a little more kick.

Here is the link to the blog I found the recipe on:

Marinated Corn and Edamame Salad:

2 cups frozen edamame, thawed
2 cups fresh Corn (or frozen and thawed)
1/4 cup diced sweet onion
1-2 tomatoes, diced
1/4 cup Garlic Expressions
Salt and Pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and toss to combine. Chicken or shrimp would turn this salad into a complete meal.

I did not put onion in my salad, it was still really good with out it.

Pumpkin Scones

My Husband made these and OM Goosh they were so Yummy, I did not even get a chance to take a picture of it, just my one piece was left. Everyone ate it warm right out of the oven with whip on it.

Blueberry Scones

My Husband also made this. When everyone walked into the house this is what it smelled like! He used fresh Blueberries, I think that really made a difference in the taste, Very Yummy!

Here is a picture of my piece that I had for Dinner.

This was a Martha Stewart recipe.

I also made some Chicken and Tuna Sandwiches but, forgot to take any pictures of them. With the Chicken I baked it the night before and then cut it up and added Mayonnaise, celery, salt, peper and Johnny's season salt.

You can see the cards in the background of the pictures; those are the ones we made. Part 2 will be up soon with more pictures of the Album we made and fun photos of my friends that attended.

Thanks for Looking
Hugs

The corn and edame salad looks delicious and I know it will be a hit with my son. I HAVE to try the pumpkin scones recipe. My recipe for my pumpkin bread is on my blog from previous posts last year, probably autumn months. People have told me it is the most moist pumpkin bread they have ever had. I've been making that recipe for 28 years....
